About the Opportunity
We are looking for a full-time Senior Estimator based in Toowoomba, QLD.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, and working closely with our experienced Senior Estimator in Brisbane, you’ll be instrumental in preparing and coordinating tenders for a range of mid-sized infrastructure projects across civil, drainage, rail and renewables.
You’ll be central to connecting with clients, understanding scope, engaging the market, and delivering high-quality tenders
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading preparation of tenders for civil infrastructure, rail, and renewables
- Reviewing project documents and identifying scope, risks, and opportunities
- Performing quantity take-offs and cost estimating from first principles
- Liaising with subcontractors, councils, clients and suppliers for pricing and scope
- Mentoring a junior estimator and contributing to capability development
- Collaborating with a close-knit estimating team across locations
- Supporting our Bid Coordinator and CRM processes to ensure submission quality
- Actively participating in business development by leveraging local knowledge
- Championing safety, quality, and compliance through our Integrated Management System

About You
To qualify, you will need a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying, and 5 years’ civil estimating experience in the Australian market. You must hold a current Australian driver’s licence and a general construction induction (White/Blue Card).
We are seeking someone who understands how to price a project end-to-end, and who brings a practical understanding of how infrastructure is built — not just from behind a screen.
Additionally, the following skills and experience are highly valued:
- Expert Estimation software (essential)
- MS Project or P6 for programming
- AutoCAD or similar for drawings
- BoQ validation and first-principles estimation
- Familiarity with TMR and council specifications
- Strong stakeholder communication and negotiation skills
- CRM, bid systems and structured estimating processes
